The James B. Duke Memorial Library provides a variety of reservable spaces to support study, collaboration, and community engagement.
Types of Spaces Available:

Study Rooms – Quiet individual and group study rooms available to current students and university employees.

Design, Editing, and Production – Technology-enabled creative spaces that support media production, digital design, editing, content development, and product creation.

Makerspace – A community-driven environment for hands-on, project-based activities where users can design, build, experiment, and innovate.

Classrooms & Meeting Rooms – Flexible, multipurpose spaces designed for collaborative work, presentations, and educational gatherings.

Presentation & Event Spaces – Larger venues equipped to host meetings, workshops, and community programs.

Reservation Information:
- Some spaces are bookable directly through LibCal.
- Other spaces such as classrooms, meeting rooms, and Presentation spaces are managed through 25Live.
